watching Britain's Got Talent?

I don't normally bother, unless the children are around and then they insist! I'm actually enjoying it this time with David Walliams as a judge, he's making it very funny.

Think I missed the beginning tonight but enjoyed the young lady that sang Purple Rain, my son laughed his socks off at the guy who lost his phone, lost his keys :-3 and we all enjoyed the dog dancing to the Flintstones :wah:

I'm really enjoying it...a variety of performances. I too loved the lost keys chappie, and that incredible dog.

I thought I would find David Walliams annoying but actually he's very entertaining.

Can I be frank Betty ?

Now there is a series that might run Frank and Betty ??

I feel that Simon (The cringe) Cowell is manipulating us all.

The program is the bloody same every bloody series, they ALL say 'it will mean the world to me' and they ALL have sick Grannies that they want to show how good they are before she dies, or are single parents that need to give their children direction or some other tear jerking reason.

All the pundits come out with the same cliched words and back the acts 'one million percent' etc. etc.

Now then................ I did see the key man and the dog girl and I loved em one million and one percent......and I hate myself.

I hate watching it, and will only ever watch it if there is nothing else on...... am I in denial ?

I'm sure we're being manipulated but then I think that's true of all television...it was obvious years ago that many of the wildlife programmes were not quite as they seemed, reality television is all edits and even the news programmes are not as objective as they would want us to believe.

But it's all about entertainment and if any programme entertains me, that's fine by me.

I don't mind being manipulated by a Dimbleby, but a cringeworthy multi millionaire Cowell is a step too far...........and its not even subtle.......shudder.

Don't get me wrong, when the audience rise as one, clapping and cheering, the hairs stick up on the back of my neck too.

I laugh at the no hoper's, the slow witted fatties, the uglies, tone deafies........like a Roman coliseum........surely they should have been sorted out before such public humiliation ?

Marvellous entertainment..................and I am ashamed for enjoying it.

Yes, manipulation it is. It does occur to me that we are being sucked into a world where we mock others continuously. And interestingly those are always the funniest bits, we're a sick nation really, what with watching all this mocking of people is it any wonder people like Samantha Brick got the reaction she did?

Have we always mocked people? I suspect we have, but the nastiness involved has changed, or something has, not sure what...

I cry There was a Welsh male choir, and a young lad with a fantastic voice

a couple of weeks ago...I was in bits. And actually I cried at the reaction to tonight's dog too.

We never watch this ever.... but we do watch 'Nigeria's got talent' on Sky.... It's the funniest thing we've seen In years.

Spotted on the front page of the Sun newspaper today (I didn't buy it) that Mr Cowell is going to be a Mr Nice guy rather than Mr Nasty..............because he thinks it is knocking the ratings.

Front page of a national newspaper.....remember, that Mr Cowell is going to change his personality to boost ailing ratings.

Obviously nothing else of any value happened in the world to report......gawd help us all.
