The things that are available through Google still blows me over. Attached is a pic of where I lived in 1940 with my parents and older sister. Older sister's husband was off in North Africa then Italy and onto France and Germany during WW 2. He came back.
We occupied the second floor and rented during those years. I am surprised the place looks so well maintained.

Yes, that house has a certain charm to it...
Here's my humble abode of prior years back when I was just a wee-fella...
It's a city with many flavors...
It's where you get stories like DAYTON — Two people were transported to a nearby hospital — one with severe wounds — following a pit bull attack on George Street on Sunday afternoon.
The dog, according to authorities, is a male pit bull about 6 years old and between 50 and 60 pounds. It became spooked and turned aggressive during a family argument. Pitbull mauls its owner during family argument
If you look down the grass along the fence you'll see the spot where the guy that used to live in that house, after I did, was murdered for the money he had buying marijuana...
A couple of houses down the street was the scene of a poor guy set on fire as he laid on his couch...

I'm not sure I even remember all the places I've lived or that I could count them. They do include a couple of YMCAs and an appalling bedsit in Shepherd's Bush. And, for a year, a one-up-one-down in Oldham the address of which I may well have never known.
It's at least sixteen places, and that's just the ones I spent more than three months in.

What I find amazing is that I can go onto Google Earth and get the street view of different places that I have lived and then scroll down the street, turn corners, see stores, shops many of which are still there some 70 years later. All you need is a current address and Google Earth.
