What started this off was an episode of Fringe where I thought they had jokingly turned this song into elevator music and someone at the show's forum commented about the Paul Anka cover. What's next, AC/DC's Back in Black?

Nah, that's Tony Bennet. Anka would more likely sing Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi.

eta: I'd originally written Pat Benatar's Hot Job in the City, but I could so see Anka doing that one.

Just to wake you from your Elevator nightmare, here's Snuff's raucous version of the Shake n Vac commercial

I'm surprised, I liked both of those. The Glenn Campbell cover would have sounded sort of melancholy if the musicians had been playing a little slower on acoustic guitars.

I agree with that one Snooze, Glen Campbell actually makes it his own and puts feeling into the song, which has great words.

Here he is again covering Green Day

I just found out that Susan Boyle did a cover of Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence. Blasphemy!

That should be against the law. Hope she got arrested.
