Another article that is worth a look.

Hatred of those on benefits is dangerously out of control

What does it say about modern Britain when the pre-meditated massacre of six children is described as "an accident waiting to happen" on national television?

...................

Carole Malone argued that they had effectively brought it on themselves. "This family became a target a couple of years ago," she argued on ITV's This Morning; they had "probably upset a lot of people" by being a family of 17 who were receiving state benefits. "I suspect they have many enemies out there because they were seen to be on benefits".........................

Hatred against those receiving benefits is out of control in Cameron's Britain. The Tories transformed a crisis of capitalism into a crisis of public spending, and determined that the most vulnerable would make the biggest sacrifices. But taking away support from the disabled, the unemployed and the working poor is not straightforward. It can only be achieved by a campaign of demonisation – to crush any potential sympathy. Benefit recipients must only appear as feckless, workshy scroungers, living in opulent quasi-mansions with wall-to-wall widescreen TVs, rampaging around the Canary Islands courtesy of handouts from the squeezed taxpayer. Benefit fraud does exist – according to Government estimates, it is worth less than 1 per cent of welfare spending – but the most extreme examples are passed off as representative, or as the "tip of the iceberg". The reality is all but airbrushed out of existence.

Carole Malone Is vile....

A rancid screeching old hag with a voice that would strip varnish...

She did an abysmal daytime tv show of a mock court room called Guilty where the low lifes she despises appeared so she could grill them about their nasty habits... akin to Jeremy Vile.... needless to say It was a flop...

She gets herself on any day time show she can as often as possible and spews her hatred.

As for her comments about the Phillpotts...... Vile, just vile.

Why is a private company being paid to reassess people already assessed by medical professionals? Are they saying all doctors are incompetent or corrupt or is it the backhanders the politicians are getting from the private medical companies. Not that I'm cynical you understand but if the MP;'s voting on the NHS reforms with connections to private medical companies were excluded the votes might go very differently.

HHHmmmm..... Okay I'm on benefits at the moment. I saw one of our TV tabloid shows the other week who were saying that a couple with two small children were bringing home between them (she worked casual and he worked as a sub contractor) $789.00 a week .... The TV show expressed that on benefits this couple would be acquiring $850.00 a week on benefits . So essentially they were working under the poverty line.

Two things here. One, there is a mountain of benefits for low income working families. but htey won't take it because they are too proud (and yet this woman is sitting there crying because they are struggling so hard)

Secondly, Who the hell gets $850.00 A WEEK on benefits?????????? I get (single parent two teenagers in school) $803.00 A FORTNIGHT!!!! The only reason we survive is I get child support. Which I may add runs out for the oldest next year during his most expensive year at school. Because his father argued that he was too dumb to finish school and would probably end up leaving to an apprenticeship. Well my son is showing him up isn't he? And hte other half of the ex is encouraging the boy to drop VCE subjects ...... So it's not so expensive ..... So I can't use the argument of needing more money .......**** they are evil.

He won't pay for their school camps (which isn't included in the child support payments) because he can't afford it . Wonder how that new camera is going that he just bought which would have payed for three camps?

You are like most single parents - that way not from choice and I bet your children are not useless wastrels as a consequence. The majority of single parents end up that way through divorce or death of a spouse. They have always gone on about single parents and people in council housing schemes growing up as a younger son of a single parent living in a council house (my father died when I was a kid) it used to annoy me intensely and it still does. If you think about it most people will know someone who is a single parent. This present crisis was caused by greed and corruption of wealthy bankers and politicians not people on low incomes they just don't use convenient scapegoats to distract people from getting angry at them.
