Highway 50 Wagon Train

I went up to the hills and watched this a while
back. Since 1949, a group has gotten together
every year to re-create the route the settlers
took over the mountains. They all have to wear
period clothing, and all wheels on wagons have to
be wooden or with the metal bands, no rubberized
tires etc. with the only exception being grandson's
safety helmet.
Here is a video I took of them coming in to the town
of Placerville, California, the last stop after about
a week's trip:
