for my home town, BBC News - Penzance to Isles of Scilly helicopter flights ending, the place won't seem the same not to hear the helicopter flying over every half hour all summer. Shame on Tesco, greedy so and so's, time to boycott them I think.

Sainsbury would have been a welcome addition, at least they do a good range of wheat and gluten free foods.

Local B & B's will lose out on a lot of business too, people who come this far to visit the Isles of Scilly often stay in the town for a few nights either side of their trip to the Scillies.

This news, along with the fact we lost the fight for a better year round ferry and new terminal here in the town means businesses are going struggle all the more, it's looking pretty bleak for the future of my home town. :(

Tesco. With my fear of crossing the street away from designated pedestrian areas or lights, I don't think I'd have managed to feed myself in a regular fashion.

They even marked the Israeli occupied territory produce as tainted goods by announcing the origins... If I remember correctly.

BBC News - Tesco heliport challenge 'was to safeguard Penzance service' yeah yeah yeah, whatever you say Tesco. No one believes them, they just didn't want a Sainsbury two minutes away from them. There's a Morrisons just up the road from them too. When they were Safeway Tesco weren't bothered by them, but then the store became Morrisons and they have now become our busiest supermarket by far. Morrisons aren't complaining about Sainsbury pitching up two minutes away from them either.
