Funnily enough, no. I looked into it but there seemed so much to learn and do (arranging paypal accounts, scanning photos of items and writing descriptions, scoring other folk and getting them score you, etc etc) I just didn`t really find time to go ahead with it. But I know thousands of people like yourself really LOVE it!

We mostly buy karaoke cd's since my husband deejays, bought my son a new skateboard and tongue rings, and a new hard drive.

You do have to really read the ads. I've seen people selling a picture of an xbox and people actually bidding because they didn't see the word "picture". Also. read an article where a set of baseball cards came minus 2 cards. The 2 cards in the whole set that were worth anything, and ebay wouldn't help.

My neighbour wanted a new mobile so he paid someone on e-bay £20 for an address that was going into liquidation, he got the address but found out that he would have to buy 10!

Their was a schoolboy here in Britain that was prosecuted for ripping off e-bayers to the tune of about £35,000.

He sold laptops, mobile phones, plasma tv's etc that he did'nt have!

He was payed by bankers drafts (some people are so stupid!) people payed him basically because the buys were too good to be true & they did'nt want to miss out on such a good deal! :-2

I love the thrill of winning a bid or outbidding someone at the last moment and I love the thrill of watching people bidding for my stuff. I also like the fact that you can buy items for a fraction of what you would pay in the shops. I buy my son a lot of games on there for his consuls as he gets through them so fast. Its also great that you can find things on there which you can no longer find anywhere else. When my son was small he had a video which he loved and watched constantly. Until muggins here accidentally recorded over it! Ooops! I couldn't find a replacement video anywhere, but when I found Ebay I found about 15 copies of that vid for sale! Fab!

My mother wanted to collect some lovely ornaments she found, but the only shop we found selling them sold them for approx. £90 per ornament! Yikes! But I found a bigger range on Ebay and they're selling for approx. £10 each! Bargain! Also my daughter LOVES Powerpuff girl things. The UK Ebay site just sells PPG magazines and small toys but the US Ebay site sells huge PPG toys and cushions and blankets and materials and all sorts. Its totally Fab!

Also, the Post Office changes pounds into dollars and doesn't charge commission so its quite cheap to buy US dollars and post them to the States to buy items off US Ebay. When I buy from US Ebay I generally put a few English sweets (candy bars) in with the money because Americans always seem to LOVE English chocolates and it disguises the fact there is cash in the envelope and so everyone is happy! I've made some great friends that way too!

So yes, I agree it's TOTALLY addictive and I think a lot of people who use the internet regularly are starting to drift into using Ebay. Even selling things for a few pounds soon adds up. A friend of mine bought a job lot of advent calendars at knock-down prices and sold them for £2.50 each, he made £500 profit that month!

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with my one & only purchase on Ebay. Three of my friends bought beautiful cars from auto dealers on Ebay. So I found a beautiful car (1500 miles away in Florida) "FROM THE PICTURES POSTED ON Ebay by the Auto dealer", and reluctantly /foolishly bought it.

(Sent deposit via Pay Pal, talked to dealer on the phone, assured car was mint)

The Auto Dealer "Lied though his teeth" big time, told me everything I wanted to hear, and artfully only took pictures of the car avoiding the many "flaws". Anyway when I went to Florida & I got to see the car in person I was devistated, as the car was a total BOMB!!! Way too many things to mention here. After much robust discussions with the Auto dealer, I got my deposit back!!! Man, was I ever lucky! So I guess if you buy small items you can get lucky, but as for me I will not buy anything again "sight-un-seen" physically!!! :-5

No I don't shope EBAY, just never got into it, but I know many people that do.

But I do most of my shopping on the net for sure.. love it..

I'm not addicted but did make two fantastic buys last year. Diamond Stud earings, 1 ct. ea. for my wife's birthday. Must have been a slow day for bidding. They appraised locally at three times what I paid. The other great buy was a Great Big Bertha brand new golf club (Driver) at less than half the retail cost.

I went through a major Ebay phase where I didn't go shop for anything unless I checked on ebay first. Clothes, shoes, purses, jewelry (cheap stuff), make up, loads of scrapbooking supplies, books, music, even coupons. Then I went thru a selling phase. I didn't do that for very long as I didn't have a very good system for keeping track of everything. I loved the thrill of betting at the very last second for an item. Another nice thing is it's open 24/7. I was working nights and could shop all night long

Yes i`m an e-bay freak but i only buy make up CDS dvd`s anything by the designer Lulu Guinness i would never in a million years buy anything really expensive like a car or house i would have a look, ,book a viewing but never part with a large sum of money what ever their feedback score .The most i`ve spent was £80.00 on a roof box for the car it should of been £240.00 so i did get a bargin and it was brand new . If it sounds to good to be true it generally is ! sarah janexx

I am another fan of E-Bay. It's like going to a flea market at home. I have bid on and won many items (never big pricey items) and have had good luck on most all of them (fast shipping and the promised quality of the item).

I also like to "window shop" there.
