Battle of the Boyne

The Irish government is to spend another 15m euro on developing the famous 'Battle of the boyne site.
It will bring the total cost to taxpayers of the scheme to 30m euro over the next three years.
The County Meath battle site near Drogheda was the scene of King William's victory over King James in 1690.
The battle site is to be devoloped as a symbol of modern Ireland in mutual respect and reconciliation and modern understanding between the two religious traditions.
