George Carlin's American Dream

Carlin is my favourite comedian. He is also one of my favourite dissidents.
He had a way of explaining things that not only made people laugh, it made them think.
The older he got the more it seemed that the laughter was annoying him.
When you watch things like this clip called "The American Dream" I think more people would have given louder applause than he got at the time.
He certainly doesn't seem to be trying to make people laugh. The audience seems somewhat uncomfortable to me at the start.
