Yes. The last time was when a friend asked me to help him move his new girlfriend.
He did not mention her Piano, or the Billiard table, or the fact that both were in a fourth floor apartment, or the fact that there was no elevator...
I can do that.....

I usually have a pretty clear idea what's needed before saying that, so no. I learned not to blindly volunteer for anything after being in the military.
I can do that.....

That's very similar to the words ' I can do that' uttered by me.
An elderly lady round here lost her husband a few weeks back so a friend told me that she was unable to cut back some bushes In her garden. I rang her and she said It was just some cutting back.... ' I'll do that for you' I said...
I had already been at work since 6 am yesterday so I was already tired when I got there and I'm expecting to see a few shrubs... What I found was a large garden about 20ft by 80 ft... The entire 2 widths and entire length was just Pyracantha... see pic which Is not called by It's other name ' Firethorn for nothing'.... Along the length of the garden was a 6 ft fence and this had grown about 4 feet above the fence on all three sides.
I rang my husband and he brought me out a ladder and some proffessional tree loppers that thank god I had at home. I spent 4 hours there yesterday and I was on the verge of collapse In the sun.... but I was determined not to give In... At one stage, I actually fell off the ladder and was probably saved from Injury thanks to other shrubs underneath It.
I went back today and It took me another 6 hours.... then I had to make two trips to the dump to get rid of the debris.... I am absolutely ripped to pieces.
This pic Is almost Identical of what I faced grown 4 feet above her fence on three sides....
I did try doing It with hedge trimmers but the branches were so thick, the trimmer jarred so had to use heavy tree loppers on every god damn branch.
