1. Dont take life to seriously'
2. Parents always win
3. There are other people in this world(i knew that i just never really "knew" it)
4. I have learned to take more risks
5. Life's not always fair. just make the most of it.
6. HIDE MY SHOES!!!
You are smart beyond your years kiddo, many adults have barely learned some of those things, never mind all of them.

Here is some of the things I have learned in life
1) look after yourself, because only you know what is right for you.
2) not all headaches can be cured by meds, some require more water intake, some need to be kicked out.
3) parents don't always win.
4) As you age you go for comfortable shoes as opposed to pretty shoes.

I learned to laugh rather than get upset. It's actually more traumatizing to the person who is trying to upset you if you laugh. They just don't get it.
Don't ever take yourself too seriously.
Find hobbies that make you calm - it is a great drug.
Love your family - get through the bad times with them - blood is thicker than anything in bad times - so make your good time with them when you can.
Find your center - know what makes you happy and sad - and make the happy happen - it offsets the sad.
OMG - I'm waxing and waning here. Better stop.

Well, there goes my ego!
I've learned never to take the little things seriously....and almost everything is a little thing!
Or as my friend says, "Don't sweat the petty stuff, pet the sweaty muff!"

Yeah, I'm exhausted. Can you tell? I'm a burned out wreck. At least I get a week off before I have to go back and teach Summer School.
I just feel more stressed this year, probably because of the extra burden of money woes and my wife's poor health.
