So let's get this right, the scots can't have a referendum on membership of the union because all the other nations would have to have a say in the matter but the UK can unilaterally leave the eu without all the other members having a say? Get real if we left the EU there is no way we would be able to keep our privileged trading status with them - goodbye all foreign investment. Besides we had a referendum when we joined at the insistence iof these right wing nutters and much to their surprise the vote was 2 to 1 in favour of joining and that was largely the wartime generation that were in favour of it.

How did we end up with such a bunch of mediocrities running the place - an eton educated prime minister that hadn't heard of the magna carta and his bum chum clegg simpering in the background.
