Has anyone seen this programme?
These people prepare for the polar shift that they believe they will survive,
These people seem consumed with preparing for the end of the world. I don't have a problem with that... each to their own.
What does disturb me Is that some of these people who appear perfectly sane, have small children that get sucked Into their world. Is that healthy, to raise young children with so much fear?

When I was young and stayed with an aunt during school holidays, I became petrified by what she told me about heaven and hell...unless I joined that particular sect, I was doomed. It was a pretty nasty experience for a child especially because it went against what I had been taught by my parents.
Sort of unforgiveable...

Maybe it's because they get hurricanes, earthquakes that the urge to prepare for disaster comes from. We occasionally get snowed on for a few days or a river might burst it's banks but that's about it.

Sad really in a way, going through life worrying about what happens when you are dead.

Being prepared is one thing - the paranoia that goes with it is something else. When that paranoia also involves large stockpiles of guns and ammunition and is focused against certain other groups of people, it can be pretty dangerous.

The guns and ammunition is for when hungry people will attack you for food. None of us have ever really had a time period in which to worry about such things . But what if a meteorite hits earth? There won't be any help from any agencies then . The catastrophic outcome would be a very scary scenario. It's not just individuals who are stock piling , it's also governments. We've seen time and time again what has happened in Africa when a famine has hit and it's not pretty . Even the the US military have been preparing for the Zombie wars. Some say the Zombie wars are another way of saying the 'undead', another words 'starving masses'. Then you have your pretend wars in which the US government calls Zombie wars . Wars for absolutely no reason but to get rid of a certain amount of the human race.

I wonder which possibility is more likely: a big meteor hitting the Earth and wiping out half of the population, or a paranoid neighbor with a stockpile of guns and ammo having an accident or breakdown...
