what is the price of gas where you are? Here it was 4.09 a gallon 2 days ago, now it is 3.97. What gives? I think it is horrible they keep the price of gas up like this.

I paid $2.99 but I've got one of those grocery store cards where you get a discount when you spend enough money shopping. Looking online, it's averaging about $3.50.

This might cheer you Americans up, the prices are for litres, so multiply by 4 to get close to the price per gallon

Nearer 4.5 actually.

Which equates to over £6.00 a gallon on average although I've seen £6.40 in my area.

No, the American's have a US gallon that is 3.78, because the Imperial gallon isn't good enough for them (God bless em)

(Note to self....add a smilie when humourous or sometimes it doesn't translate as such)

When us Brits complain about Increases In the price of food, clothing etc etc , It all actually relates back to fuel prices and transportation costings.

Any future Government who address's the fuel costs will be a popular Government... It's long over-due me thinks.

Yup, those grocery cards help-$2.85 this morning, but it should have been 3.85 regular price.

£1.39 + a litre here for petrol, diesel is £1.42 + depending where you go. Not bad considering we export the stuff and I live 20 miles from one of the biggest refineries in europe.

1 US dollar = 0.6245 British pounds sterling

£5.56 for four litres or $8.90 a gallon, roughly.
