Do you have one? Some say everyone who works outside the home does, whether they want to acknowledge it or not.
My work spouse and I are as close as siblings ... and sometimes you'd think we really are siblings by the way we bicker. She's become one of my closest friends, and we anchor each other when the seas get rough.

I did during my time In sales. I spent 12 years In a company and I spent a short period of time In the 10 branches In my division troubleshooting.
His name was Mike and we were around the same age. He was a relief sales manager In charge of branches salesmen and I did the marketing and telesales.
There was no sexual chemistry In the slightest. We just got each other. In the end, we'd wrangle It so we were spending our time In each branch together. We covered each others arss's.
I loved him In a work spouse kind of way and I really miss him now.

My work spouse is my legal spouse. :wah: Hubby!
We work at the same place...different departments. It's nice because we can talk about employees and situations at work, and we both know what and who we're talking about.

You got it exactly. We can vent about people at school with full confidence that no one else will hear about it, and we know we can depend on each other to stay as late as necessary if either of us needs a hand (I've noticed that this particular spirit has permeated most of the department). Plus, my beloved can only handle one or two of my anecdotes each day, so she appreciates that I have someone else to talk to. :wah:

Most of the time we bounced off each other with one liners but other times, we could sit with our coffee together not saying a word. If he was up before the divisional or regional bosses I'd take great care to make sure his figures all bore out and he'd wrangle a bit here and there If there was a shortfall In my sales figures which meant I may have missed out on my monthly bonus. I'd even make sure his tie was straight and his shoe's were clean before he went. If he had to stay late, I'd stay late and vice versa. We always had lunch together but most Importantly, we laughed together and laughed a lot. We had the same evil humour and you know there's those times when no-one else gets what you're laughing at ? If we were ever In a different branch to each other, we were on the phone all the time. We could slate other staff and the company knowing only us two heard It and the trust was solid.
One of those comes along once In a lifetime. My husband got It and understood It, never once questioning our work relationship. Yeah, I really miss Mike.... great days.
