I'm not one for foreign films, but this one is definitely a must-see. It's a drama, spotted with really funny humor, that treats death in a really touching, respectful, and completely secular way.

That looks really lovely. I've been watching a lot of Korean films lately, it'd be nice to see a Japanese one for a change.

I shall put that in my list of films to watch. The Japanese have a remarkable tradition in film making. In recent years they tended to get lost amongst the hollywood remakes (like The Ring and The Grudge, much better in the original versions ).
Another Japanese film on my list to watch is Cold Fish.

This does look like an interesting film.
I've been enjoying several movies from the Criterion Collection on Hulu. Some of these have been old foreign films; some from Japan.

Talking of foreign films, there's a wonderful film from Spain called Pan's Labyrinth. Highly recommended

This one was on Netflix. I'll check Hulu out.
