Pension Crisis in the UK?

Apparently the government`s latest daft idea to deal with the pensions crisis in the UK is to suggest that university graduates and professionals should work until they`re 70 as they live longer than blue-collar and manual workers (you couldn`t make this up!)
Doubtless they will want to extend their own logic further by making women work longer than men as women on average live about 5 years longer than men, and by allowing the terminally ill or alcoholics to retire even earlier, as generally speaking they do not live as long as healthy individuals? :-5

Actually they can't. thanks to european legislation discrimination on grounds of sex is illegal, that's wht the state pension age for women is rising to 65.
