Head in the clouds

What happened to Kamala Harris' campaign?
She had the black vote all locked up.

I'd venture that they are real. You see a lot of days like that going through Kansas.

For real.

The first one of the field and clouds is not as impressive as real. No way to capture dept.

The next two for some reason look photo shopped as the colors are more distinctive than I remember.

I was outside walking our dogs and saw to me interesting could formations. Went inside, got camera and took pics.

I found the one in the field interesting. Where sky and earth come together.

I went for a morning walk too, but all I could come up with was a bunch of Galahs making a racket in the dead tree.

We don't get many of the puffy clouds like in Kansas but we get some nice ones!

On the lens it says 0.38mm/1.3ft MACRO

From the manual for DSLR-Alpha200 Sony cameras,

Dang camera has a dozen settings.

I miss the simplicity of my old film camera.

Looks like the Sun just set (or was rising). I am always fascinated seeing Sun light reflected while the Sun itself is below the horizon.

There's something spooky about it - clear blue sky on one side, yet thick ominous potential storm clouds threatening on the other.

Those are not storm clouds.

They are high level clouds, probably 30 - 40 thousand feet up.

How pretty! The tiny red flower on the right makes it even more beautiful. Good contrast!

Definitely! What a stunning variety of content, colour and texture, with an emerald green snake-head as centre-piece.:-6

Hey, TJ, that is a lovely photograph ! You are a clever photographer ! Do you watch 'Countryfile' on BBC TV on Sundays 7 pm ? They have an annual photo competition open to amateur photographers. I think you should enter - the closing date is sometime at the end of this month, but you could find out full details by getting on the BBC Countryfile website and clicking on Countryfile Calendar. Twelve photos are picked out to illustrate the annual Countryfile calendar and there is a slightly different subject each year - I believe this year's is about the colours of the countryside and I think they want appropriate photos for each month e.g. snowy one for January or possibly a very Autumnal one for September ? etc.

I make that 2 nice photos TJ! I think G#Gill is correct. You should try entering the grass-snake photo in the Countryfile photo comp. It's at least as good as anything else I've seen on their calendar. Go for it!
