As an 8 year old he would only be concerned with how Chelsea FC had performed over the next 48 years. He wouldnt be happy at how we performed through the late 70's - early 80's but would be speechless at what we had achieved over the last 10-15 years.

That would be the only achievement that 8 year old would be interested in

Nope ! Its what an 8 year old would be concerned about. The only goals I was concerned about as an 8 year old were the ones my beloved Chelsea scored.

What other goals do you think a child as young as that has in mind ?

As an eight year old, my main concern would have been weather Dad was taking me to the Grand National that year.

Stop whining that we're not reading your mind. Why not answer the question yourself so that we can get in the spirit of it. What were your goals & dreams at 8, 16, or whatever?

My younger self/selves would be blown away that their adult lives turned out the way I lived it. Even at 18, I never would have believed that I would join the military when I turned 20. And becoming a teacher never entered my head until I was in my 30's.

I think I would like to try to convince my younger self to push myself harder, since no one really pushed me. I wonder how much more I would have accomplished if I had had a strong self-driven work ethic instilled in me early on.

Same here. My younger self would be astounded at my older self's accomplishments.

Then I'd have to kick his booty for begin such a wussie boy in middle school.

My eight year old self would say-"why didn't you be a paleontologist like you wanted to!" I think I will one day go back to school just for that degree, I always loved dinosaurs.

But I still do the music like I did at eight, I have played the piano for 51 years. :-6

Well, the eight-year-old would be devastated that I was not the first guy on the moon, or Mars, and that I had failed to acquire that 1954 MG TF like the one Uncle Ray had.



The 16-year-old would be OK with that, as We never wanted to give in the Establishment and sell ourselves out to the 'Man', and we always wanted to get to the Rocky Mountains and build a cabin.

He WOULD, however, be terribly disappointed that I never managed to actually hook up with a rock band like my buddy Rick did.

Being a Roadie wasn't exactly what he had in mind.

I think my eight year old self would be put out that I still didn't have that animal rescue shelter or trained as a stall handler.

At 8 years old I wondered why they didn't have Yosemite Sam hunting Bugs Bunny instead of Freddy Fudd. They would have had rabbit stew in no time.

At 16 yrs old the only time I wasn't thinking of girls,boobs or sex was when I got really, really hungry..

Since then I'm just happy to survive in relative happiness.

My eight year old self wold be surprised to find I do math for a living, I'll bet. Especially seeing how difficult of a time I had memorizing 7x9=63 at that time...
