It's sooooo cold here - I am hauling firewood too.
My fireplace is the only heat I have in my home...!

Your so wise - you've made me chuckle..
We bought this house 15 yrs. ago - had a gas heater - I won't do gas. scares the hell out of me to have a constant flame brewing in my hallway.. can't do it.
I actually only have a few months of cold - it's tough in the A.M..
Right now - I don't have running water
sounds like I'm a hermit living in the Ozarks :wah:- not
I'm having a solar panel installed with a new hot water tank.
Merry Christmas to me....!

Hmmmm...I would say you are wise as well.
But if the solar panel is not installed yet, what is powering your computer?!
And if you have a power source, why not get one of those small space heaters for the room you spend your time in?

It's sunny and 60F here today and I noticed a little while ago that my crazy phlox is actually blooming outside!
I hope we get at least one good snow this winter!

Rain is the current theme around these parts.
Not stopped raining all day again.
Raindrops keep falling on my head, fingers crossed the village doesn't get flooded again.

I have electricity
Installing the solar panel - they just hit the circuit breaker to that particular room.
They're done...! yeah !!!
Oh - my fireplace - in the family room is huge & supplies plenty of heat - it's the rest of the house - bedrooms - bathrooms
wake up - it's 52 degrees in the house until I get a good fire going..
It'll be @ 33 degrees tonight for the low
makes for a chilly mornings - high for the day is 60 degrees - still cold to me.
