Repairs to fix water damage underway since yesterday, gosh I never knew this would be so much work. I will have new carpet and tiles for the holidays, but the cleanup afterwards will take my whole vacation. One day in the bedroom where we had to store everything (and where I must sleep for now) the darling cat knocked every piled box over. No pathway to the bed, and what a mess.

Insurance paid for repairs, but not the original cleanup. Should have put this on Lon's thread, as the costs keep building up.......

But the heater will finally be fixed, which will be a great relief.

Sounds horrific Chonsi, hope you get sorted soon and do at least get a couple of days to just relax over the holidays :-4

So sorry chonsi.........was it freezing temps that busted the pipes? We've had to drip ours last couple nights as the temp drop down to upper 20's here in SE Georgia.

Chonsi, I'm so sorry. What happened? Is this damage from the hurricane Sandy?

It was one of those older pipes, should have been recalled. But the work is done, and the carpet and tiles are very pretty. When I fix up the rooms, I shall take a pic.

I thought alot of my FG friends while packing the hutch; the otter from Snooze, the bunny from abbey, a pretty wolf howling at the moon ornament from minks. They shall all go back up in style before Christmas. :-4
