Thanks. I'm adding this to my list. I have "A" students (seniors) who are afraid to make a move lest they fail. Every decision is calculated with the goal of not doing anything too difficult so they can keep their grades up. Some are afraid to participate in class discussions because they don't want to give a wrong answer. They are terrified of guessing or giving opinions.
Giving real examples of people who have failed and failed again, but kept working until they reached the pinnacle of their professions, really helps some to break out of that mold and take risks ... really small, safe risks, but you gotta start somewhere.

Well stated accountable. I have students conditioned into that mindset by the educational establishment as well.
I maintain a standing credo..."what would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?".
It has served me exceptionally well.

I know and believe me, he reported it the instant it went up.
So was the OP meant as an inspirational story or a slam on Ginsburg? I couldn't tell.

Perhaps you should not have access to reported posts if they are going to put you in a tizzy. Of course, the alternative would be to grow up.

The website is definitely pro-woman, and Ahso is a lib as they come. I can't see him slamming a lib justice.

It is interesting if only in passing. We have many of the same issues you do in our society. I assume she had difficulty getting a job because she was a woman trying to enter a man's world.

I think there is a lot of sense made in that piece. I'm all for more females in our federal government.

Maggie Thatcher only had one other female in her cabinet while prime minister - maybe she just preferred people she could terrorise.
