I don't have a problem with adult entertainment that is consensual and legal, it serves some purposes. I do however completely disapprove of this garbage. First an article from Slate and then a link to the petition. I've signed it.
Revenge porn is a vile creature lurking in the basements of the Internet. Also called involuntary porn, it’s the practice of posting sexually compromising photos of people (often exes, one imagines) in order to humiliate them. The scourge goes back to now defunct sites like AutoAdmit and JuicyCampus. And it continues to pop up, notoriously, on sites like porn king Hunter Moore's Is Anyone Up?, which featured nude photos of people who didn’t consent to the use of their images, tagged with their real names and hometowns. Moore took his site down last year, but as this good piece by Joe Mullin on Ars Technica points out, an even shadier site called Is Anybody Down? took its place, even including “a service called Takedown Hammer which allows users to get off the site—if they pay up.

I really thought about this one. If it's really a porn picture that you are talking about and not just a nude pic of a male or female then my first thought is that anyone stupid enough to have a porn shot taken should expect something like this to happen and then suffer the consequences of their stupidity. No---I wlll not sign such a petition.

Trouble is we can all do stupid things when we were young or think you are in love with someone you trust. When you and I were that age the internet was a science fiction fantasy.

You know I like you, Lon, but that's pretty cold.

I'm totally in with Lon on this one. The problem is created when someone foolishly allows a picture to be taken. Take your knocks when you do something stupid, it's a learning experience.

I dunno. Sure, there is something to the idea of living with the stupid things you do, but, this might be a bit over the edge.
I remember some years back, some Indians I met who would not let anyone take a photo of them. They believed that taking their picture gave you their soul.
A little weird, perhaps, but in light of things like this, maybe not so far out, hmm?
Look at the stuff folks post on FaceBook, even. A friend of my grandson got kicked out of his school because of some photos his friends posted on FB showing him doing some less than legal activities.
If you are going to be stupid, you should probably avoid cameras while doing it.
But then, a website that lives off of such things is pretty despicable.

Let's communicate better folks. Are we talking PORN or just nude pictures, as there is a huge difference to my way of thinking. The original post was "FIGHT REVENGE PORN" If some young female allows her self to be photographed performing ORAL SEX on some guy or female and some time in the future that pic winds up on the internet, too bad. We all live and die from the choices we make.

I looked at the site (texxxan.com) and all I saw were some bare breasts, some underwear and some girls fulled clothed. If you consider nudity to be porn, then yeah, there's porn. No sex that I noticed though.

I think we need to focus not on the subject of the photo/film, but on the person using the photo/film as revenge or humiliation. That's just wrong.

Then this is most DEFINITELY NOT PORN. Porn is created among consenting (well paid) adults for the viewing by other consenting adults.
