Caught a bit of Comic Relief's Lets dance with the stars tonight.
I am always amazed with the compassion and generosity of people.
I am here to complain about the well known celebrity tears sequence.
Ricky Gervaise (who I haven't worked out if I like him or not yet) did a bit a few years ago that I thought was near the knuckle, where he did the whole visiting the poor down and out Africans bit, then shed tears, but it was all done in a TV studio.
I think the first time major celeb eyes leaking was caught on camera it was genuine.
I cringe a little every time it happens now.
It seems to me it is all part of the formula, and I don't like it at all.
Is it just me ?

Nope, It Isn't just you.
There are celebrities who give masses to charriddee all day long. One example Is the liptremblingfantastic Mick Jagger who Is one of the main contributors to The Prince's Trust and has done for years along with funds for Nicaragua as well as the Scholership Acadamy he set up for young cricket players. Yeah, Get Down :guitarist
But you don't see him on TV making a complete tit of himself In a self-serving bid to promote a flagging career.
It's always the desperado's who will debase themselves just to get their mush on TV and their fakeness reeks from every pore of their fake tans.
People like Carol Vorderman and Kerry Katona... up they pop every year.
Yah Boo Humbug
Real contributors to Charriddee like Jaggs and Brian May stay out of the limelight. They give their own money away behind the scenes not parade on TV slots that raiise money via the TV channel.... It's not their own money. It's the proceeds of a TV show... Fakes all of them. Nuff said.

No, it's me too. I had that programme on in the background and felt the same as you when I heard celebrity tears. I wasn't paying enough attention to know what the situation was, but I guess that any one of us would be emotional if we witnessed it. But I really don't want second hand emotion from celebrities. There is something very unsavoury about it.

I just watched the Ricky Gervaise sketch on youTube that you mentioned...hilarious. Why go to a country where you have to have injections first when you can act it out in a studio with a blue screen and a wooden hut!
