Green-fingered Dubliner and celebrity gardener Diarmuid Garvin yesterday scooped one of the top awards at the Chelsea Flower Show in London UK.

The Dubliner, who is synonymous with bold garden makeovers, won a silver gilt award for ''Teletubbies''-inspired display which cost £100,000 to construct.

The Chelsea Show attracted over 150,000 visitors and was shown on BBC around the world.

Meanwhile, Diarmuid Garvin's garden is to be transported back to Dublin where it will be on display at Hanover Quay complex.

I've only just noticed this thread. I went to the Chelsea Flower show. It was a very unique design...but then ALL Diarmuds designs are a bit quirky. I absolutely admire him and watch all his programmes...went to Hampton Court show as well ....he was there having his photo taken with the kids in a really good natured way....lets see more of him I say...
