Why do they do It ?

Why set themselves up for abuse ?

I took out a Twitter account some time ago but rarely tweet because seriously, who's Interested ?? But I do use It to get Info from neighing circles...

Celebrities these days seem to post their every waking thought on Twitter and the perils of that came none too obvious last night for Leona Lewis.... hasbeen winner of 2006 X Factor.

She tweeted " F*** The Grand National and " They should put the Jockey's down.

First of all she's a steaming hypocrite.

Lewis performed at Meydan racecourse, at which three racehorses died on World Cup night in 2012 compared to Aintree's two, but also that the boss of her record label, Simon Cowell, became the co-owner with Ant and Dec of the filly It's A Yes From Me in February.

Melling Road: Leona Lewis takes on Grand National and comes a cropper | Sport | The Observer

With Jockey JT McNamara lying In hospital paralysed from the neck down following a fall at Cheltenham, ok, I went and made a tweet on her status that's none too polite.... going back to look today, It appears the entire racing Industry has left tweets that make my comment look friendly....

So why do they do It ?

I think the fact that they are "celebrities" gives them an expanded view of their importance. You have to be at least a little conceited and megalomaniacal in the first place to even want to be famous. So, being famous, they think that their every thought and idea is important to everyone. Obviously not.

Like you said, that kind of thinking isn't just stupid, it's dangerous to their careers.
