As I have been out all day, unfortunately Mr O fell for this.

You get a very official E Mail saying someone else has tried using your e bay account.

Because I often use his account he believed the e mail was In relation to my using his account from a different e mail address so clicked on the link which took him Into the official e bay page.

It then asked him to confirm all his details,

It has been sorted, he phoned e bay as soon as he realised It was a scam and he rang our bank....They have sorted It.

Just to let you all know In case you get this e mail also.

I get a ton of emails like that, the latest one was from IRS.com about some emergency I needed to reply to. IRS = Internal Revenue Service and our tax statements have to be filed by 15 Apr every year so everyone's usually in a panic. Unfortunately for them, I usually file in January and I happen to know they're a "dot gov" site, not "dot com." Dummies.

Yeah, Oscar, I've been getting those e-bay scams for years.

My favorite scam, which I reported to both FBI & local police said: "I have been hired to kill you for $-----. You must pay me $-------. to not carry out this assignment. I have been watching you & feel you do not deserve to die this way.........." Etc. Etc. It was several paragraphs. At the time I was dealing with some relatives (in-laws of relatives actually) who are connected to Russian & Kazakhstan mobs, so it actually concerned me for a bit. The letter warned not to contact FBI or police, so that is why I did.
