I'm fascinated by them.

Last night, It was one of those nights where getting ready for bed, something of great Interest comes on TV and I end up sitting up half the night.

Last night was 3 back to back episodes on Shy Bio about Mummies.

Here's one for you.... no checking on the Internet now.... who Is and remains the most perfectly preserved Mummy?

It's not Egyptian, Chinese nor Peruvian, the usual suspects.... It surprised me.

Some guy they dug out of a bog in your neck of the woods, I think.

Might I suggest that the body of Rosalio Lombardo to be the best preserved. Its why they call her "The Sleeping Beauty " Had she lived she would now be in her 90's

The thing that stood apart with Peron was that her Internal organs and brain were not removed and she had not been subjected to famaldyhyde nor hydrogen peroxide as Lenin was. People her viewed her body at the time said touching her, she was soft just like a living person.

After the Argentine revolution, she was smuggled out to Italy where she was buried. When it was safe, 10 years later, she was exhumed and re-Intered In Argentina with her family but those exhuming her said she was as soft to touch and the same as the day she died.

Just kidding, I actually saw a mummy once. It was on display at Mesa Verde national Park in the 1960s. They don't display it anymore because it was insensitive to Native Americans, (Especially Navajos who have a SERIOUS taboo about death!)but is was pretty cool. Her name was "Esther."
