A friend who did part of a tour with Havens in the late 70s called him The Master.

I enjoyed listening to Havens' The End Of The Beginning which is mainly covers, however, one song on the album was his.

I enjoy his music.

Nothing but good things to say about Richie. He was a wonderful man & I loved his voice. I remember him from pre-Woodstock days, singing locally, hanging out, passing the hat. Politically involved, coming to all events. A funny, loveable man. Very sad to hear of his passing. RIP Richie.
