good afternoon and welcome to another AA grumpy column
lady grumpy is in the shower getting ready to go out to her mothers
and the editor is asleep on the chaise lounge .. as usual as your ever faithfull grumpy bashes out a new column.
THE evil sidekick of child killer Mick Philpott has written a shameless begging letter to his family in a desperate bid to get out of prison.
Deluded Paul Mosley moans that he has had a “bad year and insists he did “nothing wrong.
The 46-year-old was found guilty of six counts of manslaughter and jailed for 17 years for helping pal Philpott and his wife Mairead to torch the couple’s Derby home.
six of their children died following the blaze. At the trial the judge called the plot to burn the house and rescue the children “wicked and dangerous.
But Mosley, locked up in HMP Strangeways, has now begged the family he has been estranged from for 25 years to unite and help clear his name.
Last night his sister Angela Mosley, 48, said: “I was horrified when I received the letter from him — I am ashamed to call him my brother.
“He’s in prison, begging people to go and visit. No one will. What does he expect, he’s a child killer. He didn’t get long enough — I want to lock him up and throw away the key. Hanging is too good for him.
In a rambling letter littered with spelling mistakes, Mosley claims he had nothing to do with the deaths of the children.
He writes: “So I need my family behind me because I have done nothing wrong but going down to Mick as a friend and look what he done to me because I now seen stuff and the police think I have had something to do with it but I have not.
Showing no remorse, he then begs: “I need everybody behind me — if not my life stops here.
He also claims people lied to the police for money, and even appears to threaten those who police might have spoken to.
Angela, from Derby, has not replied or spoken to Mosley. She said “He calls us family, but it doesn’t work like that, not when he’s killed six kids.
But Angela’s partner Andrew Lyons, 46, fears other relatives will have received letters and might be more sympathetic.
He said: “It’s just him saying, ‘Please believe me’ and some of them will. They still think the sun shines out of his a***.
