Confession time............ I am not familiar with either record.

Led Zeppelin is not my kind of music.

So it has to be Fortunate son.

Robert Plant never did it for me, Rod Stewart does, surprised he isn't in my top ten.

Would've voted for Bad Finger and will vote for Led Zep

And if you didnt catch it at the time....

Heart - Stairway to Heaven Led Zeppelin - Kennedy Center Honors - YouTube

A cover that bought a tear to Robert Plant, mine too if I'm to be honest. I've not before seen an artist or band give a standing ovation to others doing a cover of their most famous track. Its worth a watch, even if you're not a LZ fan

I had a hyperlink in the text, the word "this" should be green and clickable. It points to Robert Plant - The Battle Of Evermore if you can't locate it with your browser.

I counted 2-4

Led Zep on this one.

CCR-Fortunate son, Love that song

I could never vote against Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant still makes me gasp. Celebration Day.

This is another very difficult choice, but I'm going to go against my own pick and say Fortunate Son.

Fortunate Son !

Fortunate Son.You missed SN on post 154.

Now I come up with FS 5 to 3. Fortunate Son wins

Sorry for the confusion.

This is proving to be an education, as yet again I have never heard of Molly Hatchet.

And LarsMac Amy had soul, I found her irritating in the extreme to watch sometimes, she was what they call flakey I think.

Amy still gets my vote.

Yeah, she seemed pretty flaky. I never listened or watched much of her stuff, and this was the first time I ever heard her sing.

Never had heard either of those pieces, before today.

You never heard Molly Hatchet before? That surprises me.I thought that was a fairly popular song. I've heard that song on the radio a number of times over the years. Or maybe it was just the people I hung out with.

I've heard Molly Hatchet before, but not that piece.

I don't often listen to radio. When I do, it's usually when I'm driving across Kansas in the middle of the night. Kansas Public Radio has some cool programs.

Holy crap we are showing our age. You guys know that there was music made after 1978?

Try this:

Rabbit Hole 3:20 Josie Cotton Movie Disaster Music

Dark Street 3:29 Fastball The Harsh Light Of Day

Home 3:12 Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

Happy Ending 2:52 The Strokes Comedown Machine

The View 4:13 Modest Mouse Good News For People Who Love Bad News

Find Forgiveness 3:44 tommy henriksen Selected Songs for a New Beginning

A Simple Answer 6:01 Grizzly Bear Shields

Danny, Dakota & The Wishing Well 4:47 A Silent Film Sand & Snow

Duncan, Where Have You Gone? 3:47 Benjamin Gibbard Former Lives

the Great White Space 3:58 tommy henriksen Selected Songs for a New Beginning

Before We Run 6:14 Yo La Tengo Fade

Tomorrow 3:59 The Cranberries Roses

Down The Line 3:11 José González In Our Nature

A Hard One To Know 2:41 Benjamin Gibbard Former Lives

80's Comedown Machine 4:59 The Strokes Comedown Machine

Speak In Rounds 4:25 Grizzly Bear Shields

Howl 3:40 Junip Fields

Love Is Lost 3:58 David Bowie The Next Day (Deluxe Version)

This is some of the best of the new and college indie. It's what the kids are listening to right now. Give it a try...seriously, you might like it and expand yourself.

Perhaps you'll join in next time.

Thats just daft. You should never stop listening to music just because its "old". Music old and new should be embraced for what it is and not where and when it came from. I have loads of new stuff, even Trance and Dubstep. I never stop looking for new and different music but I never forget what I grew up with. Thats the soundtrack of my life.
