How fast food outlets show their food... and how they really look (and you wouldn't even fit a Big Mac that large in its box!) | Mail Online
I watched a news Item two nights ago on how people were complaining that their Subway sandwich advertised as a Foot was actually 11 and three quarter Inches when they got It.
For one, the packaging and the box compress the burger or sandwich.
But Is It worthy of a lengthy news Item on national TV ?
I just think In the grand scheme of life, children dying of starvation In third world countries, animals being hunted to extinction etc etc, If that's what people complain about then they need to get out more.

Distractions for the masses.
What's jay z and beyonce up to? when is the new iphone coming out? will they change the location of the headphone jack?
these are important items of our day!

Idle gossip is a thing most people enjoy & you can't be serious all the time. No one is stopping people from learning about the truly important issues. Polls show many Americans don't know much about politics, but they can if they want to. When you see polls that say, i.e. 41% don't know Joe Biden, it almost appears that people go out of their way to try Not to know!
Say Anything Poll: 41% Of Americans Don't Know Who Joe Biden Is ยป Say Anything

A quarter of an inch of sandwich probably isn't even a small mouthful, what a stupid thing to complain about. First world problems...

It's not just the USA... UK Is also suing Subway
Subway footlong lawsuits: Complaints stretch from Australia to New Jersey to Chicago - Chicago Tribune
Some pretty sad lives If measuring their sandwich Is so important.

The BBC piece was light hearted, I thought they were taking the pee out of themselves a bit.
All Subway have to do is call the thing as Big Big rather than a Foot, maybe they are manipulating for some free advertising

My husbands best pal has a take out shop selling burgers and kebabs etc etc...
With the Kebabs, he makes a slit In the toasted flat bread and believe me, I have been astonished to see how much meat he can stuff In there. On top of that goes salad and sauce. Then, he has to cram the lid of the packaging down to get It all In there... same with the burgers.
I have never ever been able to eat an entire kebab from his shop... the dogs get most of It but I certainly don't sit there comparing It to the pic on the menu or get my ruler out... pathetic... people have too much time on their hands.

I've never seen a kebab shop before... That's them although our pal stuffs a lot more meat and salad In than that one. I tried telling him once that he was way too generous with the meat but he insisted that's why his outlet was so popular which Is true.

Mrs. tude and I consider it a luxury to have our burgers, etc, prepared for us.
But then, we are no people of great means.

What's the big deal?
My foot is only 11 3/4, too.
Doesn't bother me.

Oh my god Oscar, the first time I heard of a Scotch egg, I nearly choked on my own vomit. Although I'd probably try one so I shouldn't scoff.

When you drive to the border of Scotland, there are road signs saying ' Warning, last salad for 300 miles'.

I absolutely love Scotch eggs. One of my big favorites, & I can't find anyone around these parts that sell them. I have a recipe, but haven't tried it myself. Worth going back to GB for.

Some Pics to Ponder..........
I enjoy the meatball sub, but I haven't had one in awhile. I received a Subway gift card at Christmas from a co-worker, but I haven't used it yet.

You need to work on your sense of humour and not taker offence so easily.
Don't like scotch eggs myself but it's the quality of the outside that matters most.
Can honestly say I have never eaten at a subway,. might try it sometime. Sort of a pretentious greggs isn't it?

Feel free to mock me over this but...
About 5 years ago I had a good pal who was a Subway manager. To be fair, they had very strict hygene regs and the minute the meat got to 3 days, It was binned. So my pal used to put It In the freezer for me for my Foxes and deliver a bin liner full of It every friday. There was everything, ham beef, chicken, the meat balls the lot. Anyway, thinking the Foxes would love It, I was astonished when they wouldn't touch It. I'd go out there every morning and half to throw It away. I even tried mixing It In with the chicken guts my Turkish pal gives us but nope, they wouldn't go near It. If a wild animal that scavanges won't eat It then I'm not going to.... yet, my Foxes adore lamb kebab meat.
