Thirty years ago today I was just another GI out with the guys, hitting the beach to look at girls. What I didn't know at the time was that the little cutie I met that day would turn out to be the love of my life. I've done a lot of impulsive things in my time. Some got me in trouble, some turned out to be lucky breaks. I've had more than my share of lucky breaks, but going to that beach was absolutely the luckiest day of my life.

Thanks so much everyone. Yes, Tude, I wrote down the date on a whim and have been thankful I did ever since. When you think about it, isn't that date more important than the marriage? In a way, the marriage is a celebration of having met and fallen in love.
