Last night I sat up until the small hours again because I would not miss any chance to see the film ' In The Name of the Father ' yet again.

It's the true story of ' The Guildford Four ' wrongly convicted and Imprisoned for the Guildford IRA bombing by corrupt police officers.

Daniel Day Lewis plays Gerry Conlon

The late Pete Postlehwaite as Giuseppe Conlon

Emma Thompson as Gareth Peirce

It was nominated for 7 Academy Awards.

The true story Is and remains one of the biggest travesty's of British Justice.

But there are two scenes In the film that move me still despite how many times I have seen It.

First, the scene In the appeal court gets a senior police officer on the stand. She shows him a photograph of Gerry Conlon's alibi and asks If he knows this man. He says no and she replies to the hushed court ' Then why did you take a statement from him 15 years ago and mark the file ' Do not show the defence' ?

And finally as the appeal judge overturns all convictions, Gerry Conlon walks free from from court.

If my memory Is correct, I think It was around 1989 and I remember watching the news at my parents house with my Father.

I remember watching Gerry Conlon walk out the appeal court and say those words to the waiting press. " I am an Innocent man" and I will always remember the emotion In his voice.

I think Daniel Day Lewis has captured that and It's a breathtaking performance.

Try to watch It Snooze... It's very powerful and compelling.

I hate watching sad movies. Brians song was probably the first movie that actually made me shed a tear. the next one was "The Notebook". It caught me by surprise, I hadn't heard that it was a sad movie or I would never had sat down to watch.
