Tens of thousands of visitors from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nigeria will be forced to pay a £3,000 bond to be allowed to enter Britain.

The genuine visitor, for a wedding or holiday say, will be priced out of the trip.

But if you are determined to relocate to the UK, it is a lot cheaper than paying the criminals to sort out passport, papers, and to arrange transport.

I think this is naive in the extreme.

We couldn't do that here. We couldn't discriminate like that; charging folks from certain countries only, I mean. I doubt very much we could have bonds like that either.

I think this is naive in the extreme.

Border agency ignored 35,000 leads in asylum backlog, says report - Telegraph

Mind you new labour are a bunch of muppets as well. At the moment when we elect a government it's like an idiot contest you just vote for the one you think will be the least useless.

I think this is naive in the extreme.
