Congrats Theia --- I have my second grand (it's a boy) coming in a week, maybe on my 79th birthday.

Thank you everybody :-6

My granddaughter went through a very difficult time at 20 weeks with her first to be baby, then a miscarriage six months later, so Calan's safe arrival at a very healthy 8.12lb is particularly poignant.

I think it's a Celtic name.

Lon, you can't be nearly 79??

There's a couple of targeted ads at the top of my screen, one for Johnsons Baby Soap and the other for over-50 life insurance. Either Google-Ads is feebly unaware that they're relevant only to the opening poster in the thread or they know far too much about me.

Congratulations theia, when you teach Calan James to write he can have an account here. Meanwhile you may have the ForumGarden Babe Of The Month award.

And I shall wear, spend, adorn my flat with it, with pride...I thank you.

Congratulations.

Great-grandkids are, well, er, GREAT!

We have three of them and it is so much fun watching them grow.

And watching the grandkids learn how to be parents

No! I can't believe it. Surely you're nowhere near old enough.

My hearty congratulations anyway :-6 You get to enjoy being a Grandmother all over again

Thank you, Lars, Anne and Kathy :-6. Three greats, Lars! That's lovely.

Snow, I'm 64...gave birth to my daughter at 18, she gave birth at 20, and my granddaughter at 23. My son is a great uncle at 35 and I'm teasing my daughter in law (who is 32) with the title of "Great Aunt Jane."
