Chinese J-20 Flight Testing.

It took us over 20 years to build ours. The Chinese have done theirs in about 5. This is not a fighter either, it's a missile delivery platform.

It's always quicker for those following the innovators.

In ways yes, once you know it can be done it becomes much easier. I think that this is more a result of efficient effort than any type of technological plagerism

Not convinced.

Where you are presented with a problem and asked whether it can be solved you ask yourself “what could we possibly do”.

When you're presented with a problem and an example of a possible solution then it is easy to say "here is where they went wrong"

Building on the shoulders of giants comes to mind.

I've been on the plus side of the equation - I'm no genius but I can see where improvements can be made. I've made a good living over the years doing just that.

I salute the pioneers, I know I could never be one of them.
