My English teacher in High School was a young lady. Miss Chapman was her name and she filled out a sweater as well as Jane Russell or Marilyn Monroe ever did.
She was wise beyond her years though and used to challenge us her pupils, to "do one thing different today." She suggested that we would grow as earthlings if we did as she suggested.
"If you are used to putting on your right sock first when you get dressed," she said, "try pulling on your left sock first for a change. In the morning if you brush your teeth before you wash your face, try reversing this procedure one morning. Variety is the spice of life!"
I'm still not sure what benefit if any we gained by following her advice, but just having her stand in front of our class every day was reward enough!

I still remember first time putting on matching socks. Changed my life.

Perhaps her wisdom was about accepting change and being open to new ideas.

I wasn't trying to be mean. Actually I didn't complete the thought.
The socks I was talking about were white in color. When all the socks ya own are the same color there never is a mismatch.
Makes life a little simpler.

From day one I've been a big Star Trek fan . Could never do the
with my "hand".
Note I said "hand".
Being right handed for some reason it was impossible for me. Then once literally after decades of effort I tried my left hand and BINGO!
Like magic, if in no other way I am now ambidextrous.
Well there is more to that story, but it is off topic and I gotta go anyway.

My favorite teacher in high school was Mr. Shiver, my art teacher. He would always tell us students to "get motivated"
