AN IRISH BLESSING...
May
The road rise with you
And the wind be always at your back
May
The sun shine warm upon your face
The rain fall soft upon your fields
And till we meet again
May
God hold you in the palm of his hand.

A woman stopped me when my father died and said this to me. I didn’t realize what it was. She was definitely Irish and normally very quiet and reclusive. I was surprised and touched by it.
