"There's a holdup in the Bronx

Brooklyn's broken out in fights

There's a traffic jam in Harlem

That's backed up to Jackson Heights

There's a scout troop short a child

Kruschev's due at Idlewild..........

Car 54, Where Are You?"

one of the funnest TV shows ever.

Stephen Soundheim wrote the lyrics for "West Side Story"

Tonto's horse, rode by Jay Silverheels, was named Scout. "Hi ho Silver, Away" was said by the Lone Ranger at the end of each episode. Who was that masked man anyway?

Memory Lane, where spot lives on as spot. A spot by any other name is Tyr.

Nice place, Arena. You look a lot like Nick Nolte. :yh_bigsmi

You're a smart guy & you've been given enough clues.

It's Halloween, put on your Nancy Drew shoes.

A pome.

Ya know what?

One of those things one just passes over, like what the heck is Idlewild...?

Gotta share that with my brother.

TD: "My dad grew up in Manhattan and hated this"

After all these years I still can't get this song out of my head. But that's ok, I like it there. Was no need for me to look up those words.

Entirely different type shows. Car 54, with Officers Toody & Muldoon, was slapstick comedy. Not only can't I get the song out of my head, I remember particular scenes & still laugh over them. Very silly show!

I would like to thank you for remembering and sharing that show and to mention the theme stuck in your head.

Has anyone successfully forgotten this song yet?

I confess I have no idea how the tune goes, I doubt I've ever heard it.

Not to be insulting, but follow my logic.

It was obvious to me you just popped in and wanted to see what was going on. It was my thought you were to lazy and out of the kindness of my heart I supplied a link.

I don't blame you.:sneaky:

Well, as an apology I offer this.

In all these years it had never once occurred to me that Schulz's characters had ever been animated, I've only ever seen them in print form until today.

Good grief.

Good grief indeed.

Google and find a video/audio pleasure you never had before.
