Mrs Bora, from Tunbridge Wells in Kent, married Nusret in Turkey in 2003, but he suffered physical and mental injuries in an attack in the country in October 2011.

She wanted to bring him to the UK to give him a better chance of recovery but new Home Office rules, which came into effect in July 2012, meant he was no longer eligible.

An appeal tribunal found the Home Office had acted disproportionally and affected the couple's right to a family life, and allowed the appeal on human rights grounds.

BBC South East was later told that Mr Bora was jailed in 1986 for killing someone.

The tragedy is that the wife genuinely had no knowledge of her husband's crime, the murder of a mother and her 4 year old child.

I really find it difficult to believe she didn't know.

She knew he had been in prison, but she was shown in a TV report getting the news from the reporter.

I read her reaction as beng in the dark about the reason he was jailed, she didn't know how to react, she has since I believe said she will stick by him after first saying she couldn't if that is what he had done.

The man is an arse, but the woman is genuine.

Genuine what? She didn't ask her man Why he was in prison? They can live together & be happy in Turkey. IMO
