This appeared over my house IN South Gloucestershire tonight.

It appeared as a bright white light that was stationary for almost a minute before taking off a greater speed than an aircraft.

My neighbour got this close up pic ( click on pic to enlarge) and rang the local airports who say nothing was on their radars.

Did it flash? The one I saw over my town looked just like this:

That's how It looked Initially In the sky... then a huge burst of light before It shot off horizontally across the sky at speed.... very much the same Yes.

Funny how this was spotted this morning a few miles away.

Thats why there not very common, got blown in after a rough day at sea ?

i saw 2 circular white balls in the sky a week ago at half 7 in the morning driving to work a min later gone , it made me think a little but i guess there are prob other possibilities

Yes, every possibility It came up the Gulf Stream and then up the Bristol Channel,

They have had all sorts up there before.

I thought at first maybe a comet or meteorite but the fact that It was stationery before taking off rules that out.

what i saw was stationery to far apart for lights and way to big

hard to say was a little distance away, quite big we have helicopters around here some times and it was way bigger than that , there were 2 a little way apart they just vanished , and they were so still when i saw them
