I've been to Crazy

I've been to Crazy, lost my mind
Returned from hell, almost blind
The path was winding, never straight
There was no sign upon the gate.
Liars and fools will guide you there
With promises of love and care
How can you tell who speaks the truth
When saints are sinners where's the proof?
With candy coated tongues they speak
They seek the vulnerable and meek
Webs are spun to catch their dinner
Yet every day they still grow thinner.
I've been to Crazy once before
So I've placed a sign upon that door
To help the next unwary soul
From ending in their dinner bowl.
Returned from hell, almost blind
The path was winding, never straight
There was no sign upon the gate.
Liars and fools will guide you there
With promises of love and care
How can you tell who speaks the truth
When saints are sinners where's the proof?
With candy coated tongues they speak
They seek the vulnerable and meek
Webs are spun to catch their dinner
Yet every day they still grow thinner.
I've been to Crazy once before
So I've placed a sign upon that door
To help the next unwary soul
From ending in their dinner bowl.
