It seems that some people think it tastes like soap.
If you hate it, may I ask what ethnic background you are?

In this house, Coriander Is worshiped.
I've tried growing It on the patio but It goes stringy and I don't get much leaf. We buy It fresh In Sainsbury every week for curries etc but especially buckets of It In home made salsa.

I do like it. They grow it on the farm around where I live so at a certain time of year, the air is thick with the smell. It can be a little overpowering

I thought it was weird too but there's even a site with quite a few members that hate the stuff. I Hate Cilantro - an anti cilantro community A discussion on FB came up with several more haters.
Apparently, the hatred is hereditary, whatever that means. I wondered if it had anything to do with what part of the world your ancesters came from.

Cilantro is a important ingredient in salsa
I break out in a rash eating cilantro - don't know why - I have no allergies to foods but
it's the only thing my skin will break out.
I'm a white old lady living in the southwest where they make wonderful delish salsa.
