Okay, now what would you do if ..
your OH would be unloading the dishwasher
finished putting the clean plates away
then grabbed the dirty washing up
including a chopping board that you just cut raw chicken on and without washing his hands, grabbed the clean cups from the dishwasher and put those in the cupboard?
I'll tell you what I did, I had a flaming fit. I screamed salmonella poisoning, shouved my OH out of the way, and put all cups etc. back in to the dishwasher and ran a 65° C wash.
A) would you do the same?
B) my OCD kicked in, and was I being silly ? but you would still re-wash the cups
C) That's silly, you overreacted.. Bit of sam & ella never killed anybody ! And leave those cups in the cupboard.
My OH said: C.

I'm with YOU all the way ... We should actually have a chopping board that is ONLY used for poultry. If I have cut/sliced chicken on a board and wash it in hot water & Sunlight liquid before I cut onions or other veg on it.

Thank god, someone agrees with me! I was starting to feel weird! :wah:
I used to have different chopping board for veg / chicken etc.
They seem to have disappeared when we moved .. uhum over 3 years ago....
So now I have one large white board for raw meat stuff. 1 small white one for veg and and big black one for cooked cat food that need to be sliced etc.
I'm going to get me some new ones this weekend !

So, i'm not alone on this :wah:
I don't let my OH cook either.. He tends to " flash fry " everything. Including chicken! Jikes! Sometimes it's still pinkie coloured..
He will re-heat food, only untill it is just lukewarm... even 4 old day chinese! JUK.. then complains about his tummy... DUH.

Usually when I cut raw meat up on a board I immediately put it in the sink and wash it since I need to wash my hands also.

I normally do that too, wash the board immediately.. I forgot.. I do always wash my hands though, and I even have a no touch soap dispenser :wah:
and JJ, that's why I only let him make cheese on toast.. only thing he can be trusted with!

Anything that's come Into contact with chicken must be re-washed.
I have a dishwasher... His names Peter
