Feel the burn!

I think I mentioned it in a different thread, but I bought a rowing machine last week to start exercising again, so maybe it will clear my stomach acid problems.

Loooonng story, but the short version is: as a baby i had acid reflux, it passed when I started walking and exercising.

Last 5 years I have done nothing else but sit at home, or sit at a desk at work and since then I have acid reflux again.. So I thought exercising again might help clear it up a bit.

As many who start exercising again, I thought I would feel like the incredible hulk by now! Instead I feel like a 90 year old lady, not even being able to open a jar of gherkins!

I only do 5-10 mins a day as I get very tired quickly because of my vitamin B12 deficiency.. But even just with that little exercise my bod is hurting all over!

I'm 25.. but man, I feel like a decrepit old lady! :wah:

But even when decrepit, i'm not giving up.. I'll teach those money grabbing docs, who keep testing for silly things and bill me for it every time!

A couple of weeks back I bought an indoor stand for my pushbike so that I can use it during the winter evenings.

It's far more tiring that riding on the road - last summer I could happily ride for a couple of hours without bother but I was struggling to do half an hour indoors.

Part of that is the lack of wind to cool the body but most of it is four months without exercise - after five years without exercise it will take time to work the kinks out but you *will* benefit and sooner than you think.

Keep at it - you owe it to yourself :-6

I have become quite lazy. Except when proving a point, as I am and will be doing in this case!

It might be clogging up the living room but at least the machine is in sight and it helps me to remind myself to keep doing my exercises every day. My OH wanted to move it upstairs... but then I only go upstairs when going to bed.. So having it in the living room helps to remind me to do it!

I'm glad I have a fast metabolism. I only put on about 2 kilos in that 5 years of doing nothing. At least I don't have to worry about that part!

Like you said, I owe it to myself. And I will prove my point aswell! :wah:

As soon as I get through cleaning out my basement, I'm going to sit up my treadmill, so I'll probably be sore and achy for a while too! :)
