There Is a certain breed of people that deny, deny deny.

Lord give me strength... I've just spent an hour arguing with one of these people.... sorry folks but I need to vent...

Scenario.... My revolting neighbour's husband, basically a good guy has hit a woman up the rear at traffic lights. He says, It's a fair cop, I must have been too close behind her.

The woman goes through on Amber and panics slamming her brakes on, he hits her up the rear and writes his car off.

I swear this conversation In the past hour has just taken place.

Her... It's her fault because she slammed the brakes on with no warning.

Me... No It's legally his fault, he hit her.

Her...well I've found her on Facebook and she's posted a pic of her car and there's not even a scratch on It.

Me... But the damage may be unseen. The CV joints may have popped, the chasis bent, the wheel bearings etc. Things you can't see.

Her....Now she's put a claim In for whiplash and It was a week ago.

Me... Whiplash sometimes doesn't manifest It'self sometimes for days after, even weeks.

Her...she never said anything at the time so how can she claim now, a week later?

Me... Because the pain may have only just kicked In.

Her...M was unable to stop In time.

Me... If he was not up her arsse which Is tailgating then he should have had time to carry out an emergency stop. If he wasn't paying attention then he was driving without due care and attention.

Her...But her car wasn't even dented,

Me...Judging by the damage to the front of your car, there was serious Impact.

Her... But she had a Volvo and they are like tanks. Ours fell apart because It was bought as a write off originally.

Me... Then you would never have been Issued a recent MOT certificate If your car wasn't able to withstand a knock.

Her... But our car Is older than hers.

Me... Exactly... she probably has crumple zones hence lack of dents.

Her... Well she should never have braked at lights, she was committed.

Me... No.. He should have had enough distance to stop safely.

Her...He was

Me... What approx 2 chevrons behind?

Her...What are they?

Me... I explain

Her... well all roads should have Chevrons painted on them,

Me... It's basic knowledge taught when you learn to drive. It's about 2 car widths.

Her... He says his brakes locked and he skidded Into her.

Me... That's what they are supposed to do.

Her... But the road was wet

Me...All the more reason to keep a safe distance then. It's up to him to make sure his tyres have enough tread to be legal.

Her...But they were when we got the MOT 6 months ago

Me... But you've driven miles since then

Her... well he can't remember everything he was taught when he took lessons

Me... It's basic road common sense.

Her....It was years ago so he's forgotten all that.

Me... Peter had his driving lessons 54 years ago. He's remembers.

her... Oh well, I'm fighting her claim all the way.

Argggggggg :mad::mad::mad:

Her partner Is saying, Yep my fault while she has labelled this woman as a fraud and In the wrong while looking for any excuse rather than just take some responsibility.

What's even worse is people who no matter what goes wrong, it has to be somebody's fault. They can't except that sometimes in life things happen. They have to have someone to blame, even if there was nothing anyone could have done differently!:-5

I couldn't live my life like that, arguing everything that happens. If It's my fault, I'll say so but people like my neighbour believe the world owes them.

I've had to deal with people like that for years, I have some of them in my family. There has to be someone to blame for everything that happens.
