A Lebanese restaurant owner has placed a giant poster of Saddam Hussein in his eatery's window.

Ayyad Al-Hamdan, 43, the owner of This Is It in Harrow, north-west London, has sparked outrage among local residents by placing the picture of the ruthless Iraqi dictator on display.

He has refused a request from council chiefs to remove the ‘offensive’ photograph, saying it is a political protest.

What has this got to do with the local council or the police?

It's a picture, thats all.

I don't think It's the council or the police business.

We are supposed to be a free democratic society who welcomes ethnic minorities and their rights.... that's until a minority political party win an election or post something the mainstream doesn't like of course and then they throw their toys out the pram.

As a Lebanese man, It's no more offensive than a Far Right member having a picture of Nick Griffin In his window. It's about the freedom of choice which obviously we never had In this country at all In the first place.

The complaints are no doubt from the busy bodies who have nothing better to do with their time... It could be far worse...

Yes......................you should be a politician, waffle on until you answer the question you wanted to answer, but wasn't asked.

The man is running a business, if people don't like his window display, they wont use his restaurant.

And you're missing the McPoint.

It's his restaurant. If he wants to risk losing custom or even Increasing custom by displaying the picture, In a democratic society, that's his choice.
