I get Clatterings In the field outside my house.
A group of Jackdaws being a Clattering.
I like them In that two tone type way.

Jolly ole King Henry V111 Is gazing out of his leaded windows at home at Hampton Court Palace watching the Crows demolish his bowling lawn looking for worms. He turns to the wife, Anne Boleyn and says " Those F****** Crows are Murder..... she went off and wrote It In her Filofax and the rest Is history.

Maybe he was so fed up with those Crows pooping on his State Carraige, he said he'd murder them.
But the general explanation Is that groups of Crows will Murder other smaller animals.
