Most vehicles come equipped with an AM RADIO still. I feel i get better gas mileage when i listen to AM. All the local news is on with talk shows. AM is like having company in the car providing you are within limits for reception? :driving:

Sorry Agnes I cant agree , Can't stand all the widdley widdley woo stuff when trying to find a station and then it drifts away.

Although it does bring back memories, as a youth, listening to Radio Luxembourg under the bed sheets. That used to drift away every couple of minutes and drift back again with a constant whisteling.

Give me FM quality every time.

While we are on the subject , with the advent of cds, why do you still get cassette players in cars? Does anybody still use those things ?

I have trouble getting AM recption also, and always just listen to FM.

As for cassette players in cars, the auto mfgrs must have bought "millions" of them before CDs came out, and they still have the cassettes & use them. I have seen some new cars with "both" installed. (Go figure)
